Saf Homin is an artist, journalist, and scholar whose multidisciplinary work blends photography, moving image, narrative, and research to reflect on how personal and collective realities emerge through culture, memory, and power.
Published in The Financial Times, printed collections, and other platforms, their documentary projects have been exhibited internationally — including in Finland, the U.S., and Sweden.
Homin is currently pursuing an MA in Photojournalism at the University of Missouri, with research focused on visual propaganda and the ideological function of imagery in media.
Collaborative projects include a photobook featuring young Ukrainian photographers and a series of exhibitions presenting their perspectives. Beyond journalism, Homin writes fiction published in literary outlets and produces documentaries on social and cultural themes.
Recurring themes in their work include war, queerness, and memory — often explored through hybrid forms that bridge disciplines and aesthetics. These remain central, though Homin’s work also engages broader questions across mediums, histories, and narrative forms.
